EDIT, 7/23/2013: - (Adjusted the Aura)

This is a symbol for my band. Like Ronny James Dio, who made the hand symbol that we call “The Horns” in metal, was originally an Italian symbol to ward off evil,(the evil eye if you will) which is why he chose it, as he got it from his grandmother. Metal is about positivity through the darkness.

My symbol is similar. I’m calling it, “The Rays”. Like rays piercing through negativity. PLEASE NOTE, I’M NOT PREACHING GOD OR RELIGION. I HATE ORGANIZED RELIGION, AND WHILE I HAVE MY OWN SPIRITUAL BELIEFS, I’M NOT STUFFING ANYTHING DOWN ANYONE’S THROAT.
THIS SYMBOL IS ABOUT, FAITH/BELIEF/TRUST/HOPE IN SOMETHING, OR SOMEONE. IT CAN BE FAMILY, FRIENDS, A THOUGHT, A PURPOSE, TO DO GOOD THINGS, OR EVEN YOUR OWN FAITH, ETC, WHATEVER YOU WANT. PLEASE NOTE, I’M NOT PREACHING, I’M NOT PUSHING. I’M JUST PROMOTING POSITIVITY.
THAT’S ALL. I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE; WE’RE ALL ENTITLED TO OUR OWN THOUGHTS, IF YOU’RE A NICE PERSON, AND WE CAN RESPECT EACH OTHER, THERE IS AND SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM AMONG HUMANS, AS A COLLECTIVE RACE.

THIS IS ABOUT ACCEPTANCE.

Loosely based off of the Celtic symbol, “The Rays”, and ironically ended up being a perfect antipode to the well-known “Pitch-Fork” hand symbol, which requires the ring finger to be bent down as opposed to what I did here with the middle finger down. While I’d like to promote my symbol, I still love and use the metal horns. R.I.P. Dio m/ And thank you.
